The Flying Club is a well-established club and is affiliated to BMFA (British Model Flying Association). They are a friendly club with a good mixture of member abilities ranging from beginners to the very experienced & capable flyers.
Beginner pilots are the foundation of any model flying club and you will find the club’s training program enables you to make quick progress in the hobby, with our friendly experienced instructors who are always ready to help. The club covers all beginners' needs, with BMFA examiners, who will guide the beginner pilot towards his/her “A” certificate. The “B” certificate can be taken as you become more experienced.
The Flying Club prized assets are its friendly club atmosphere and its near perfect flying site – which is one of the best in the North West. There is ample car parking next to the air strip. The runway aligns with the pilots flying whilst facing north – sun in the eyes is never a problem.
We have club trainer planes, so why not come & have A FREE TRIAL LESSON ? Or come and have a look on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon You won’t be disappointed.
